WHHA partners with Knowledge Partnership for 2025 EDI survey

West Highland Housing Association is committed to treating everyone fairly and without discrimination. We seek to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in everything we do.

In meeting this commitment, we regularly gather equalities information from our tenants, housing applicants, staff and members of our Board of Directors. In doing this, we are meeting our commitments under the Equality Act 2010. Gathering this type of information is something that all Scottish social housing landlords must do to comply with the Act. We also need to collect this information to meet the duties set for us by the Scottish Housing Regulator, the body that oversees our work.

To help us collect this information from our tenants, we have asked an experienced market research company, Knowledge Partnership, to carry out an Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Survey.

What you'll need to do:

  • Open the Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Survey questionnaire enclosed via your preferred contact method.
  • Complete the form.
  • Put your completed form in the pre-paid envelope provided and post it back.

It’s as easy as that!

Please return your completed questionnaire to Knowledge Partnership as soon as possible. Your feedback will inform how we deliver our services, so it is extremely important that you complete and return the postal or online questionnaire.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Information for those completing the form:

Who is Knowledge Partnership?

Knowledge Partnership is an independent Market Research Company commissioned by West Highland Housing Association to conduct this research. When you return your completed questionnaire to Knowledge Partnership, they will combine your feedback with that of other tenants and provide a survey report for senior staff and members of West Highland Housing Association’s Board of Directors. The survey is completely confidential, and you can provide your answers anonymously. All data that is collected as part of this survey will be treated in accordance with Knowledge Partnership’s privacy policy www.kpartners.co.uk/gdpr/. At all times, Knowledge Partnership will comply with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct and GDPR regulations.

Why are we asking for equality information?

We collect equality information to help us to plan and deliver effective services and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

What do we do with equality information?

We use equality information for a range of purposes, including to help us to:

  • protect and promote your rights and interests
  • promote equality objectives across our services
  • identify and address our customers’ needs, and improve our services
  • identify and eliminate any form of discrimination.

Do you need to answer every question?

By answering as many questions as possible you will help us meet your needs better, but we provide options throughout this form to allow you to provide only the information you want to give us. You can complete some questions and not others or you can complete parts of questions. We may ask for some information in other forms where this is required by law.

How do we process your equality information?

Knowledge Partnership, a 3rd party, are collecting the responses to these surveys on behalf of West Highland Housing Association. Knowledge Partnership will then provide us with anonymous statistical data in a way that means we cannot identify you. The responses you provide on this form will not be linked back to your tenancy record in anyway.

Who do we gather equality information about?

We may gather equality information from:

  • people who apply for a home
  • tenants
  • people who apply for a job with us
  • our employees
  • board and committee members

This document can be produced in different formats, for example, in larger print or audio-format, and in other languages, as appropriate. We promote equality through seeking to eliminate unlawful and unfair treatment on the ground of any protected characteristic, as appropriate.
