HOMESTAKE FLATS,
GLENSHELLACH,
OBAN
West Highland Housing Association Ltd are presently marketing 17 x 2 bedroom flats for sale in the Glenshellach area of Oban. They are a fixed price of £125,000 and are being sold through the low cost home ownership scheme known as Homestake. Homestake was launched by Communities Minister, Malcolm Chisholm in March 2005 and is administered by Communities Scotland, the Scottish Government’s housing and regeneration agency. Homestake is a shared equity scheme to help people on low incomes who wish to own their home but who cannot afford to pay the full price for a house. People applying may buy between 60%-80% of the purchase price and will own the property outright and when you come to sell your house, both you and West Highland Housing Association will receive your share of the property value.
This is an exciting new initiative for the Oban area and a great opportunity to get on to the property ladder.
Anyone interested should contact Ruby Campbell or Susan MacAskill for an application pack.
